Totally rentable. com is a new company that lists Properties for rent St. Lucia.
The idea was born through the developer’s own experience in searching for a property to rent in St. Lucia. Searching for a house or apartment for rent was such a hassle. Based on my experiences, finding a property for rent in St. Lucia can be done in four main ways each of which is flawed (very flawed). This is how you can find your apartment:
- The first way is in the news paper. We have two main papers in St. Lucia and on any given day, there are a maximum of 30 property listings for rent. Now these properties are primarily located in the north of the island. That means the other parts are unaccounted for. Also many of those properties appear very inconspicuously on the page and they offer very little information. So you really don’t have much to go by.
- The second way is through real estate companies. Firstly, can you tell me three real estate companies that have a list of Properties for rent in St. Lucia? Well it was hard for me because these guys are not very visible and they are expensive. There is also the fact that their main source of advertising is the newspaper. Same problems as above!!
- The third one and most reliable and most painstaking is driving around looking for the apartment or house. Many times I drove and drove in every hole and crevice in St. Lucia and most times to no avail. Either the persons were not at home and there was no contact number or the property was not for rent. Now if that was my driving experience, what about those people without vehicles? Imagine their plight.
- The final way is by word of mouth, you know; you hear about an apartment through somebody who knows somebody -who knows somebody -who knows somebody who heard that there was a sign by somebody who they knew. WOW…. But what if you don’t know somebody? Well…
Finding an apartment should not be such a task.
